Winter Road Trip – Tetons & Yellowstone

February 25th, 2011 in Photography

A conference in Jackson Hole Wyoming planted the seed for another road trip.  First get a ski day at Jackson Hole where I’ve never been before and some winter photography in Tetons and Yellowstone. A short but sweet trip!  It’s been snowing non-stop for a week. Perfect for skiing and photography except for the gray skies and flat light.  You can’t have everthing I guess.

First; some wildlife from the National Elk Refuge in Jackson Hole.  1. a young bull elk in action.  2. a bighorn sheep up close and personal.  3. a huge coyote watching me while I was watching the bighorns.

World of White – Part 4

These huge boulders in a stream bed in Rocky Mountain National Park have caught my eye for a few years but this is the first time I got a shot I liked.

I hope to get back up there in the spring and shoot it when the snowmelt runoff transforms it into something not quite so serene.
